We have some serious cold going on here! I had to go to an appointment today, otherwise I would not have ventured out of the house! Now I'm back home with the fire blazing and hot tea, a book and 2 blankets!
But, the cold brings more chances to see those lucky sundogs, and my sister-in-law down in Iowa took a great picture.....
This is a memorable week for me and not just because it is crazy cold! This is my last week of employment! My countdown to retirement shows just one more day to work! If you click here you can read my previous post about this. The day after tomorrow is the end of the line for Bear Patch. I'm ready to move on to the next chapter!
Both Bob and I have been picking our way through the whole Social Security benefits and Medicare and supplemental insurance maze! It's not all settled yet, but soon will be. And that brings up all these questions about what will it be like to live on that income, how much of our retirement savings will be used each month, what will it cost for dental and eye care in the future, etc., etc.? It's kind of unsettling, but I try not to dwell on that. Instead, I'm just feeling really happy that soon neither of us will have to report to work!
Hi! I'm Pam! Join me on this journey through the next steps of life!
