Lucky Yosemite Sundog

Have you see a sun dog in Yosemite?
Today I saw a post on Facebook from Yosemite National Park about sundogs!

This isn't some strange new species of wildlife, but rather a phenomenon that occurs when sunlight refracts off ice crystals high in the atmosphere. Hexagonal (honeycomb-shaped) ice crystals in cirrostratus clouds refract light into a rainbow, like millions of tiny prisms suspended many thousands of feet in the sky.
Like a meadow full of wildflowers or a sky full of stars, no single glimmering crystal could create the same beauty that multitudes can produce together.
